Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

This position involves using assembly instructions and tools to assemble components and subassemblies, ensuring correct fit and specifications. The role offers opportunities for wage increases and a sign-on bonus, along with various benefits.

Responsibilities

• Use assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, tools, and materials to assemble components.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
• Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notify supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Contribute to the team by accomplishing results as needed.
• Cross-train in all areas of assembly and assist in other departments as needed.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions
• Experience with assembly and mechanical assembly processes

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Experience with electrical, schematic, and wiring assembly
• Strong problem-solving skills

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, IL.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
