Job Title: Offset Printing Press Operator
Job Description
Join our team as an Offset Printing Press Operator, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality print production. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining offset printing equipment, performing job setups, and optimizing print processes to enhance productivity and minimize waste.
Responsibilities
- Operate offset printing equipment efficiently.
- Review job instructions to prepare jobs for printing.
- Maintain daily print job production logs and data collection.
- Setup, program, and release jobs from the print queue.
- Maintain inventory levels of supplies such as ink, chemical solutions, blankets, rollers, paper, and other necessary items.
- Perform corrective adjustments considering symptoms, possible causes, and remedies.
- Conduct daily maintenance according to procedures to ensure machine stability and dependability.
- Perform accurate and efficient adjustments to minimize downtime and service calls.
- Monitor the printing process to maintain print quality and optimize productivity.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years experience as a press setup operator.
- Experience with tape measure/ruler.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of printing press operations.
- Proficient in offset and digital printing.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marengo, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
