General Production Worker

This role involves electronic assembly of switches for various industries, including military, government, agriculture, and healthcare. Candidates will work with small parts and must have good hand/eye dexterity. Responsibilities include using hand tools to build component parts, gathering necessary materials, and placing components onto PC boards. The role requires precise attention to detail as you will be working at your own station, standing or sitting throughout the day.

• Solder certification is a plus.
• Experience with pick and place technology is beneficial.

This role offers the potential for permanent employment for those who perform well, with recent history showing an average transition time of 6-7 months. The work environment fosters a laid-back culture while expecting results, providing a balanced work-life experience.

The position is based in a manufacturing environment with long rows of workstations. You will work on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with flexibility to start at 5:30 AM. Expect to work 50-60 hours a week with 3-4 hours of daily overtime. The culture is laid-back but results-oriented. Temperature checks and brief medical assessments are conducted at the start and end of each shift to ensure safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mc Cook, IL.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
