1Mechanical Engineer – Nuclear Power Plant Projects (100% Remote, CST/EST Only)


We are actively hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support Nuclear Power Plant Engineering projects. This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates must reside in the Central or Eastern time zone to align with team operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and solve engineering challenges, managing project elements from start to finish
  • Provide expert guidance on design processes and construction methods
  • Conduct investigations on prototypes, models, and system studies, applying results effectively
  • Review complex calculations and design deliverables
  • Establish performance specifications for components, equipment, and systems
  • Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define priorities and ensure successful project execution
  • Approve work schedules and recommend resource allocation improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited)
  • 1-10+ years of experience in Nuclear Design/Nuclear Industry, or similar engineering projects within power generation, energy infrastructure, or advanced mechanical systems
  • Expertise in Codes, Standards, and Regulations related to Mechanical Engineering Design of Nuclear Power Plants
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Control Process within Nuclear Power Generation Utilities
  • Familiarity with Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards
  • Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build trust and work effectively with station customers
