Responsibilities
- Design hydraulic systems for new and existing products.
- Use engineering tools to analyze hydraulic systems to meet pressure, flow, safety, and quality requirements.
- Communicate and coordinate with suppliers to develop specifications for products and components.
- Develop project plans with input from engineering, marketing, and production teams.
- Collaborate with production, manufacturing engineering, lab supervision, marketing, service, and engineering personnel during project implementation.
- Prepare and review complete engineering change packages, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Utilize departmental CAD systems and office software according to company standards.
- Coordinate project activities and report progress to engineering, marketing, and production teams.
- Participate in the cost reduction process as necessary.
- Evaluate products or modifications to determine performance success and user satisfaction, which may include travel to field locations or trade shows.
- Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as required.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design and/or engineering.
- Experience with mobile equipment, project management, and engineering management.
- Proficiency in 2D schematics; AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- General computer literacy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
- Ability to design entire hydraulic systems and select components.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with complex hydraulic systems.
Work Environment
Work primarily takes place in an office and troubleshooting bay. Expectation is to be onsite five days a week, with the opportunity for twenty remote working days. The average team tenure is high, reflecting a stable and supportive environment. There is frequent interaction with installers and operators, providing variation in problem-solving and design requirements.
Compensation:$48
