Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team on a part-time basis. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the entire onboarding process for 50 independent contractors, managing employee benefits, maintaining insurance for employees, addressing employee concerns, and updating and managing the corporate handbook.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the onboarding process for 50 independent contractors, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
- Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Maintain and update insurance policies for employees.
- Address and resolve employee concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Update and manage the corporate handbook, ensuring all policies and procedures are current and compliant with regulations.
- Conduct regular HR audits to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Coordinate and support the performance management process, including conducting performance reviews and providing feedback.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in the HR system.
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
Essential Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in human resources or a degree in Human Resources.
- Strong understanding of HR practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with employee relations and onboarding.
- Proficiency in data entry and administrative support.
- Knowledge of human resource management and HR systems.
- Understanding of FMLA and employee benefits.
Work Environment
This is a part-time position with flexible working hours. A hybrid working model is preferred, but fully remote work will be considered if necessary. If working in the office, you will have your own workspace and there are only two others working in the office setting.
