Responsibilities
- Initiate, justify, and implement new advanced capital equipment purchases.
- Create cell layouts and lead process improvement initiatives of high complexity.
- Lead Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control Plan Reviews.
- Apply solid concepts of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) to new product development.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a machining/CNC environment.
- Strong experience in tooling and CNC.
- Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies and machine capability.
- Solid understanding of machinery related to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems for equipment specification and capital procurement.
- Proficient in interpreting product drawings, including GD&T and specification flow down.
- CNC Programming experience is a plus.
- Experience with turning/milling equipment, Okuma 5 axis mill, Swiss precision machinery, Makino 2-4 axis mills, and Gleason grinding equipment is a plus.
- Skills in tooling/fixturing design and PLC programming are advantageous.
