Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team on a 3-year contract, with the possibility of a permanent position after the first year. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the development of a new product and innovative manufacturing process. This role involves initiating, justifying, and implementing advanced capital equipment purchases, creating cell layouts, and leading high-complexity process improvement initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Initiate, justify, and implement new advanced capital equipment purchases.
  • Create cell layouts and lead complex process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control Plan Reviews.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts to new product development.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a machining/CNC environment.
  • BS in Engineering highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing engineering, tooling, and CNC operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of capability studies and machine capability.
  • Solid understanding of machinery related to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems for equipment specification and procurement.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product drawings, including GD&T and specification flow down.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • CNC Programming experience.
  • Experience with turning/milling equipment.
  • Experience with Okuma 5-axis mill term.
  • Swiss precision machinery experience.
  • Experience with Makino 2-4 axis mills.
  • Experience with Gleason grinding equipment.
  • Tooling/Fixturing design.
  • PLC programming or automation experience highly preferred.
