Overview

The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring finished products are accurately moved to the packaging area after completing all processes as per Order instructions. Personnel check parts against the Manufacturing Order to verify the correct product and completion of all processes. Products are labeled according to specifications and customer requirements, packaged in predetermined quantities and boxes, and palletized with visible labels for easy identification. Parts must be handled and safeguarded to prevent damage to machined surfaces. All shifts are available. Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move finished products to the packaging area.
• Check parts against Manufacturing Orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Label and package products according to specifications and customer requirements.
• Palletize boxes ensuring labels are visible for easy identification.
• Handle and safeguard parts to prevent damage to machined surfaces.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of forklift experience.
• Ability to perform heavy picking up to 50 lbs daily.
• Experience with inventory systems and control.
• Proficiency in using stand-up forklifts and reach trucks.
• Experience with RF scanners and SAP.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean and newly constructed building dedicated to warehouse operations. Overtime opportunities are available, and safety attire such as steel-toe shoes or safety shoes, along with vests, are needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Romeoville, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
