Job Description
Join a leading electronic automotive manufacturer based in St. Charles, IL, where you will contribute to the production of OEM electronic parts for major automotive brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, and Hyundai. Work in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment, operating automated machinery to ensure the accurate assembly of components like power window switches and car entertainment consoles.
Responsibilities
- Follow specific verbal and written instructions and standard work guidelines.
- Perform routine equipment adjustments based on measurable variables like length and temperature.
- Load raw materials, complete minor changeovers, and monitor machine operations.
- Inspect completed parts to maintain job specifications and quality standards.
- Clean and maintain machines before and after shifts.
- Maintain activity logs and participate in cross-training activities.
- Support the management and quality system, including continuous improvement efforts.
- Notify supervisors of any issues or non-conforming products.
- Implement environmental policies related to work activities.
- Perform additional duties as required or assigned within the scope of responsibilities.
Essential Skills
- 1 year of production, inspection, or machine operating experience.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Comfortable standing for 8-hour shifts.
- Experience in a GMP environment, wearing appropriate attire such as gowns and hairnets.
- Proven track record of great attendance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of manufacturing operating experience.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry.

Work Environment
The 350,000 square foot facility hosts approximately 250 employees across production and warehouse areas. The production area, including departments like PSS, ECU, and SMT, requires adherence to GMP protocols, with attire such as gowns and hairnets mandatory. The warehouse area, comprising shipping, receiving, and material management departments, necessitates steel toe shoes but does not require GMP attire. Both areas are clean, organized, and climate-controlled.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr.
