Job Title: PCB Layout Designer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PCB Layout Designer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and modifying circuit board layouts using Cadence software, and should have extensive experience with high-speed boards and complex digital designs.



Responsibilities
  • Design circuit board layouts using Cadence version 17.4 or higher.
  • Develop multi-layer boards ranging from 10-30 layers.
  • Modify schematic captures and implement design changes as necessary.
  • Work with constraint manager within Cadence for board design.
  • Handle high-speed boards with CPUs, FPGAs, power, RF, Backplane, and EMI components.

Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in PCB layout and design.
  • Proficiency with Cadence software, specifically version 17.4.
  • Familiarity with digital designs using rigid and rigid-flex constructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Military design experience or knowledge of class 3 IPC standards.
  • Experience within the Aero/Defense industry is highly preferred.

Work Environment

This position is ideally onsite with some flexibility for the right candidate. The work environment is within the aerospace and defense sector, focusing on electronic devices that manage RF waves and countermeasures. The role requires working both independently and as part of an experienced team, contributing to critical projects that prevent threats to aircraft.



Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
