Mechanical Engineer

A leading architectural design firm in Central Illinois is looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team!

Job Description:

• Oversee the design and coordination of mechanical systems across multiple projects
• Serve as a client-facing engineer, collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders
• Develop detailed construction documents, including drawings and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, controls, and specialty piping systems
• Conduct construction administration tasks such as reviewing submittals and managing design revisions during construction
• Perform system calculations, equipment selection, and layout development from schematic design through construction documents
• Research and apply relevant building codes and standards to ensure compliance
• Coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines, architects, and contractors to deliver integrated and successful project outcomes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of experience
• Experience in HVAC and plumbing design for buildings
• AutoCAD proficiency
