Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker to join our team, working on packaging lines and machinery. You will be involved in the dip or dressing lines, managing lids, bowls, bottles, and finished goods. Your role will include inspecting products, keeping the product flowing on the lines, checking labels, unjamming lines, and assisting with changeovers and different product lines.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging lines and machinery efficiently.
• Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain product flow on lines and check labels for accuracy.
• Assist in unjamming lines and facilitate product changeovers.
• Monitor packaging and filling lines for smooth operations.
• Lift boxes onto pallets and wrap pallets for shipment.
• Verify and print orders using computer systems.
• Utilize EPJS and RF Scanners for inventory management.
• Ensure ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

• 2-3 years of experience in packaging line operations.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in machine operation and general production tasks.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Strong computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the food or chemical industry is preferred.
• Comfortable with staging and inspections.
• Ability to handle materials and perform general labor.

Work Environment

The work environment is a normal production floor that is temperature controlled. The facility is smaller, with around 110 employees, and operates across three shifts. Employees benefit from cleaner common areas and a cafeteria, as well as discounted product purchases.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thornton, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
