The Tomahawk Mill is currently seeking resumes for a Purchasing Manager.
Principle Responsibilities
Principle Responsibilities
- Manage the purchasing and storeroom functions
- Ensure compliance with all PCA purchasing policies
- Buy materials and services, along with identifying alternate sources for cost savings
- Function as the buyer on POs >$100,000, includes verifying freight, resolving discrepancies, etc.
- Manage the annual Blanket PO process-quotes, approvals, PO issuance
- Prepare RFQ's, bid packages and Master Service Agreements
- Maintain adequate inventories to ensure no operational disruptions
- Ensure the accuracy of storeroom transactions
- Supervise buyers
- Monitor training of storeroom staff
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience
- Supervisory experience
- CPM preferred
- 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- This position is on-site at the Tomahawk, WI mill and is not remote or hybrid
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Strong computer skills
- Detailed oriented
- Effective communication skills
- Vendor negotiations
- Material sourcing and expediting
- Perpetual inventory systems
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
