Job Title: Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee several capital projects (CAPEX) on-site over the next six months. The main focus will be on facility roof repair, railroad repair, and sewer relining. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.

• Manage and oversee projects ranging from half a million to a million dollars.
• Organize project teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and safely.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Work independently without a support team, coordinating with the project manager as needed.
• Hold contractors accountable within a heavy industrial setting.

• Experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Proven project management, planning, scheduling, and coordination skills.
• Ability to operate independently and manage projects effectively.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures in industrial settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Excel.

• Experience within a chemical or heavy industrial environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with roofing, railroad, or sewer relining projects.
• Understanding of CAD drawings.

This role requires 100% on-site presence at a unique and fast-paced chemical manufacturing plant. The work schedule is four days a week, ten hours per day, from Monday to Thursday. The environment is one of independence, with a hands-off management approach, where safety is the top priority. Familiarity with both digital and hard copy project files is necessary.

This is a Contract position based out of Tuscola, Illinois.
