Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Job Description

The Quality Control Technician is entrusted with the authority to approve or reject all raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. This role involves sampling and inspecting all in-process and incoming materials, as well as performing routine sampling and inspection of manufactured products and incoming materials. The technician will document results completely and accurately according to applicable specifications, test methods, and standard operating procedures. Additionally, the role requires performing environmental monitoring of aseptic filling operations and facility utilities as required by procedure.

Responsibilities

  • Approve or reject raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
  • Conduct sampling and inspection of all in-process and incoming materials.
  • Perform routine sampling and inspection of manufactured products.
  • Document results completely and accurately according to specifications, test methods, and standard operating procedures.
  • Execute environmental monitoring of aseptic filling operations and facility utilities.

  • Experience with pH probe
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum one year experience in a cGMP environment, preferably in the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and/or Health Care Industry.
  • 6 months of IPC documentation experience.
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree within sciences preferred.
Work Environment

This position requires working on the third shift from Monday to Saturday (11 PM - 7 AM), with initial training on the first shift (7 AM - 3 PM) for two weeks. The role involves spending time on both the manufacturing floor and the lab. On the floor, the technician will assist with running seven lines and documenting activities. In the lab, responsibilities include conducting chemistry testing and environmental monitoring.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon Hills, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
