Job Description: Quality Assurance Supervisor
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor with 3-5 years of experience in a QA/QC role within manufacturing production operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of packaging and experience in chemical manufacturing is preferred. This role involves leading and developing a team of six QA Inspectors through training, mentoring, and performance feedback to strengthen team knowledge, support process standardization, and drive continuous improvement. The candidate should have expertise in ISO 9001, 21 CFR Part 820, and other quality standards, with hands-on experience in supporting or leading audits and inspections. Additionally, the role requires knowledge of process improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, or similar approaches.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of QA Inspectors through training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Support process standardization and drive continuous improvement.
- Implement and sustain quality systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain organization, accuracy, and high-quality standards while managing multiple priorities and projects.
- Ensure plant safety, uphold quality standards, and maintain compliance with regulations.
- Support ongoing process improvements across operations.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in a QA/QC role within manufacturing production operations.
- Strong knowledge of packaging and experience in chemical manufacturing.
- Expertise in ISO 9001, 21 CFR Part 820, and other quality standards.
- Hands-on experience in audits and inspections.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems such as Syspro or SAP.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
This is a Permanent position based out of Waukegan, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $92000.00/yr.
