Job Description
Join our team as a Quality Laboratory Technician, responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming and in-process materials through comprehensive testing and analysis. This role involves monitoring instruments, compiling test data, and collaborating with the quality manager and production team to address any quality issues. You will also participate in audits, complete non-conforming material reports, and conduct investigations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality acceptance testing for incoming and in-process materials.
- Monitor instruments and processes used in test procedures.
- Compile and review test data to update management on quality issues.
- Participate in audits and complete reports on non-conforming materials.
- Perform investigations related to quality discrepancies.
- Test raw materials and mixes, collecting samples from the production area.
- Conduct tensile tests, acetone tests, humidity tests, freezer tests, sieve tests, and hardness testing.
- Perform dimensional inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
Essential Skills
- 2-5 years of experience in lab testing and quality testing.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Experience with tensile testing, raw material testing, dimensional inspections, hardness testing, pH, viscosity, humidity, and sieve testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Experience in quality lab testing and working independently is highly valued.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.85 - $28.85/hr.
