Job Description

An experienced and innovative LED Technology Engineer is sought to join our Research & Development (R&D) team. The role involves designing, prototyping, and developing next-generation LED lighting solutions for various applications, including general illumination, automotive, industrial, and specialized lighting systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in LED system design, circuit development, thermal management, and optical performance, driving new product innovation from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop next-generation LED lighting solutions for a variety of applications.
• Prototype and test LED systems to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Develop LED system designs, including circuit development and thermal management.
• Drive product innovation from the concept phase through to production.
• Optimize LED systems for high-performance and rugged environments.
• Conduct environmental testing and reliability analysis for ruggedized electronics.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in LED lighting, avionics, or military-grade electronics.
• Expertise in LED driver design, power management, and PCB design.
• Strong knowledge of thermal management principles and light output efficiency optimization.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCad, SolidWorks, Altium, Eagle, or KiCad.
• Ability to analyze LED performance metrics and troubleshoot electrical circuits.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with military or aerospace lighting projects is beneficial.
• Understanding of NVIS-compatible lighting, infrared (IR) LEDs, UV LEDs, and tactical lighting requirements.
• Familiarity with advanced LED phosphor materials, laser diodes, and solid-state lighting technologies.
• Experience with rapid prototyping techniques, 3D printing, and optical modeling software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an innovation mindset.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
