Maintenance Mechanic

We are a leading polyethylene manufacturer, specializing in low and high-density polyethylene extrusions, printing, converting, and recycling. Since 1959, we have been dedicated to providing customizable and recyclable products. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.

• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on machinery and facility equipment.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians to follow a set preventative maintenance schedule.
• Conduct reactive maintenance as necessary.

• 5 years of manufacturing experience performing electromechanical maintenance.
• 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
• 2+ years performing wiring and rewiring of machinery.
• Experience interpreting schematics and mechanical prints.
• Experience with extrusion machinery maintenance.

• Welding/Fabrication experience.
• PLC Troubleshooting, particularly with Allen Bradley systems.
• Blow fill machinery maintenance experience.
• Experience in the plastics industry.

The work environment is organized yet slightly gritty, with some plastic smells that are mitigated by proper ventilation. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7:00am to 4:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL.

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Wheeling,IL.
