Job Description
We are looking for a skilled CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist who can effectively read and interpret blueprints and drawings, edit and understand programming, and set up and operate machines. This role involves ensuring that all parts meet quality standards and performing a variety of machining operations by studying work orders and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and drawings, including symbols and material types.
- Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
- Perform basic machining math, including fractional/decimal conversion and basic trigonometry.
- Set up and operate CNC Lathes and machines to required specifications.
- Utilize machining tools such as high-speed drills, carbide drills, and roll-forming taps.
- Edit and program Mills utilizing HAAS Controllers.
- Perform diversified close tolerance Mill operations.
- 3 to 5 years of experience with CNC Lathe and machine setup.
- Ability to read blueprints and program using HAAS Controllers.
- Experience with conversational programming and/or G-Code.
- Trade School education preferred.
- Self-sufficiency in role execution.
- Experience with low volume, high mix production.
- Familiarity with 3-axis mills and standard and Y-axis lathes.

Work Environment
The work environment boasts a brand new facility with 256,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space, housing all departments under one roof. The facility is equipped with modern features and technologies, primarily using Haas controls, with plans to upgrade to newer machines. The team consists of 230 employees dedicated to fostering growth and innovation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wood Dale, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
