Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our shipping team. Your primary responsibilities will include shrink wrapping and loading trucks using a pallet jack. You will be responsible for staging orders that have been picked to get them ready for shipment.
Responsibilities
- Stage orders that have been picked for shipping.
- Work exclusively on the shipping side of operations.
- Verify picked boxes and count using a calculator to ensure accurate pick counts before shrink wrapping.
- Shrink wrap pallets, weigh them, print labels, and use a pallet jack to move pallets.
- Assist in loading trucks.
- 2-3 years of warehouse experience.
- Experience with pallet jacks and RF scanners.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment, handling inventory, packaging, and material handling tasks.
- Experience with forklift operations is beneficial.
- Experience with RF scanners and computer skills is a plus.
- Crown forklift experience would be advantageous.
- Strong counting and matching skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to stand for 8 hours.
- Ability to move, pull, and push up to 50 pounds, with most tasks requiring less.
This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the potential to transition to a permanent role within 3-6 months. As a permanent employee, you will have the opportunity for profit sharing and a competitive pay rate above $25 per hour if you become a forklift operator.
Work Environment
You will be working in a brand-new warehouse that was recently opened two months ago. The department consists of only 10 people, providing a close-knit work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodridge, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.24 - $18.24/hr.
