Job Responsibilities
- Service and maintain commercial fire alarm systems and components to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot systems to diagnose issues such as ground faults, open circuits, and short circuits.
- Educate customers on the functionality and operation of their fire alarm systems.
- Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with commercial fire alarm systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
- Experience using electronic testing devices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET II, III, or IV Fire Life Safety certification.
- Experience in low voltage or security systems.
- Manufacturer certifications for fire alarm systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of IT systems and functionality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs; push/pull over 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights (ladders, man lifts).
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and loud environments.
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands and arms.
