Join our dynamic team as a Motor Technician in Evansville, IN. You will be responsible for assembling and building mechanical fixtures and motor components for various industries. This role requires reading blueprints and using basic hand tools to assemble and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring all mechanical components meet specifications. Work closely with operations managers, shop leads, engineers, welders, and electricians in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Read blueprints to fully understand the mechanical layout of specific equipment.
- Utilize hand tools, fasteners, and other components to assemble and build equipment to specifications.
- Troubleshoot unforeseen problems with oversized parts and design flaws.
- Communicate with electrical, welding, and engineering teams to resolve product assembly issues.
- Conduct basic installation of wiring on certain equipment if experienced, requiring knowledge of electrical schematics.
- 2+ years of mechanical troubleshooting and assembly experience.
- 2+ years of blueprint reading experience.
- 2+ years of experience with hand tools and precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Experience in automotive, HVAC, electrical, automotive tech, automotive repair, engine repair, automotive maintenance, and diagnosis.
- Experience building custom machinery and equipment.
- Electrical wiring and schematic knowledge.
- 480v experience.
- 3-phase motor experience.
- High School diploma.

Work EnvironmentThis position is located in a very large job shop facility that is semi-climate controlled. The machine shop can become hot during summer and cool during winter, though it is generally clean. The schedule includes 1st shift hours from 6 AM to 2:30 PM and 2nd shift hours from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, with the potential for overtime and weekend work. Training occurs on the 1st shift for 6-12 months. Flexibility is offered to accommodate appointments and other personal needs. Dress code is casual and suitable for a shop environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $60320.00/yr.
