Job Title: Mechanical Installer II

Job Description

Join a service company tasked with an automation upgrade at a facility. As a Mechanical Installer II, you will be involved in installing robotic arms, sub-stations, and internal site fencing using various tools. This is a 6-8 week project, which may extend depending on supply chain factors.

Responsibilities

• Install robotic arms and sub-stations on loading docks.
• Assist in commissioning and building robotic arms and stations.
• Use pallet jacks to move and catalogue materials.
• Utilize hand and air powered tools to commission towers according to diagrams.
• Follow step-by-step instructions for wiring and power supply installation.
• Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse and support project teams.

Essential Skills

• Experience as an installer with power and hand tools.
• Industrial general labor experience.
• Ability to lift 40-50lbs consistently.
• Familiarity with working 8-hour shifts on cement floors.
• Good attendance and ability to take direction.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints.

• Experience working on previous projects.
• Capability to work independently after training.
• Understanding of basic safety practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and reliability.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a facility with multiple floors and is currently under construction, which means it can be messy, loud, and crowded.

The majority of tasks are performed on mezzanine and sub-mezzanine levels, with a mix of air conditioning and open air settings.

The job is physically demanding, involving walking on cement and interacting with project managers, installers, and material handlers.

Jeans, safety toe shoes, T-shirts, and high-visibility vests are part of the dress code, with safety equipment provided.

The work schedule is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, likely totaling 40 hours per week.

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
