As a General Production Worker, you will be involved in the complete manufacturing process of magnet wire products. Your duties will include handling raw materials, loading production lines, operating machinery, and maintaining quality control. The role involves using an overhead crane and forklift to manage materials and products within the facility. The manufacturing process is highly automated, requiring you to monitor operations and ensure specifications are met. Responsibilities- Handle raw materials and prepare them for production.
- Feed raw wire into the production line and monitor the process.
- Understand and apply specification sheets to set up machines.
- Operate and troubleshoot basic machine issues.
- Pull and test enamel samples during production.
- Read the HMI touchscreen to ensure quality control.
- Document in-process updates manually.
- Use overhead cranes to move finished spools.
- Operate a forklift for material handling and storage.
- Ability to work safely without constant supervision.
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts.
- Open to forklift training; previous experience not required.
- Strong tenure at previous employers.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding work orders in English.
- Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or construction is beneficial.
- Strong soft skills and a willingness to learn.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate hand tools.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is clean, with some areas being loud and hot depending on the department. The facility is expanding, with plans to add new production lines. Shifts operate on a 2/2/3 schedule, with available hours from 8 AM to 8 PM for the first shift and 8 PM to 8 AM for the third shift. The facility is traditional in its manufacturing setup, offering a structured and supportive atmosphere.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.11 - $22.36/hr.
