Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Plant Accountant to undertake standard cost analysis, variance tracking, and month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will manage plant budgeting and forecasting processes while collaborating cross-functionally to support new product costing and inventory control. This role involves providing financial justifications, tracking ROI for capital projects, and presenting financial insights to various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct standard cost analysis and variance tracking.
- Manage month-end closing activities.
- Oversee plant budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new product costing and inventory control.
- Provide financial justifications and track ROI for capital and process improvement projects.
- Present financial results and insights to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Oversee quarterly and annual physical inventories ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Continuously improve internal controls and costing system processes.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in Cost Accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems.
Additional Skills And Qualifications
- Experience in Inventory Accounting.
- Experience with capital process.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to plant personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in general ledger systems (e.g., QAD, Oracle/Hyperion Essbase preferred).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and standard costing principles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive mindset and a hands-on approach in plant operations.
Work Environment
This position is on-site with working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The work environment is dynamic, requiring a proactive and hands-on approach to plant operations.
Compensation:$48.07
