Job Title: Facilities Engineer

Job Description

Support the Facility Maintenance Manager in the preventative, corrective, and general maintenance of HVAC systems. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance of HVAC equipment, production chillers and boilers, controls located throughout buildings, and kitchen refrigeration. This role involves performing tests, rounds, and analysis of data to ensure the proper functioning of equipment, adhering to manufacturing standards, and following the change process for qualified core equipment and components.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain refrigerant, heat exchangers, HVAC equipment and systems, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Maintain boilers, pumps, valves, piping, filters, and other mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment, notifying appropriate parties of any problems or malfunctions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment, ensuring minimal disruption and cleanliness of the work area.
  • Complete preventative task sheets, return tools to workshop, and unused supplies to storeroom.
  • Advise the Maintenance Manager of any equipment problems.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of Commercial or Industrial HVAC Service experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
  • RTU Troubleshooting Experience (20 Tons).
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Experience with boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and filters.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Plumbing and electrical service experience.
  • Facilities maintenance and mechanical repair experience.
  • Refrigeration system expertise.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite across 12 buildings on a 1,650-acre property, totaling 2 million square feet. Work occurs both indoors and outdoors, with indoor environments being clean and temperature-controlled. The setting can be noisy due to heavy automotive industrial operations. The shift is from 3pm to 11:30pm, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime on weekends approximately once a month.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensburg, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
