We are seeking a dedicated Traveling Superintendent to oversee on-site coordination for all phases of hotel construction projects. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure strict adherence to specifications, timely project progress, and budget compliance. The Superintendent will also be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
Responsibilities- Coordinate on-site activities for hotel construction projects.
- Ensure project specifications are strictly followed.
- Oversee scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure work proceeds on schedule and within budget.
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships with owners, design teams, consultants, contractors, trade partners, and vendors.
- Take initiative to resolve any project obstacles and ensure project goals are aligned and met.
- Act as an owner advocate by maintaining open communication and ensuring the owner's needs are exceeded.
- Collaborate effectively with all project team members and provide necessary support and resources.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction.
- Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Willingness to travel and/or relocate as needed.
- Experience in hotel construction.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on goal planning and owner advocacy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in construction supervision and subcontractor management.
This position involves working on project sites across the Southeast US, including Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Florida, with a primary focus on Knoxville. The role comes with full benefits, a car allowance, and per diem. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
