Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Job Description

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for planning layouts, installing, and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment for commercial lighting projects. Your expertise in conduit bending, wiring, and electrical layout will be essential in successfully executing multiple large commercial projects throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Bend, run, and pull conduit (3/4 - 4 inch EMT, IMC conduit).
  • Plan layouts and install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment for commercial lighting.
  • Pull and terminate wires as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Essential Skills
  • 3-10 years of electrician experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
  • Proficiency in conduit bending (3/4 - 4 inch EMT, IMC conduit).
  • Experience in pulling and terminating wires.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs independently.
  • Possession of own basic tools and at least a 12v drill with battery and charger.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
  • Familiarity with construction and commercial electrical projects.

Work Environment

Work is conducted in both indoor and outdoor environments, subject to extreme weather conditions when outside. The role involves working on multiple large commercial projects throughout the year, with standard hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and weekend work based on project needs. Dress code includes boots, jeans, and a T-shirt, with no holes in attire and sleeves required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
