Job Title: Title Clerk
Job Description
The Title Clerk is responsible for supporting the auction's title processing workflow, ensuring all vehicle titles are accurate, complete, and correctly transferred to buyers. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized individual with strong communication skills to interact with internal teams and customers effectively.
Responsibilities
- Review and complete missing information on vehicle titles prior to transfer.
- Prepare and mail titles to buyers and other required parties.
- Follow up with customers who purchased vehicles to obtain any missing or updated information.
- Sign over titles to the appropriate buyer in accordance with state requirements.
- Communicate with buyers via email and phone regarding title status or outstanding needs.
- Process and send out an average of 50 titles per day.
- Collaborate with office staff, dispatch, and customer service to ensure smooth workflow and timely processing.
Essential Skills
- Prior administrative experience with attention to detail.
- Good job tenure.
- Proficiency in computer skills including email, Excel, and basic computer functions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in administrative support and data entry.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Prior title knowledge is a plus.
Work Environment
The role is fully onsite in an office setting within the auction yard in Indianapolis, IN. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break. Occasional work on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM may be required, though this is rare. The team consists of 9 members, including an Office Manager, Supervisor, Customer Service, Dispatch, and Title Clerks.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
