Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Lab Analyst to join our team at a leading ingredient manufacturing company specializing in corn starch products. The QC Lab Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products through rigorous testing, analysis, quality control, and documentation.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct raw materials testing to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • The day-to-day testing is unique to the industry so most of the instrumentation will be new to most candidates.
  • Perform a variety of analytical tests independently and accurately, following established test procedures.
  • Utilize industry-specific instrumentation such as viscosity meters, moisture analyzers, Near-Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy, PH, Moisture Balance, Protein Analysis, Viscosity, Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) spectrometry, and other relevant equipment.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and legible test records in accordance with company policies and record-keeping procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines, including Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and lab safety requirements.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in routine equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure accurate test results.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and lab safety protocols.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in the food or ingredient manufacturing industry, is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced food manufacturing environment where the candidate will be exclusively working in the laboratory.
