- Willingness to perform heavy labor and “grunt work” while learning more complex processes.
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate with a close-knit crew.
- Reliable attendance for a 6:00 a.m. start time and full-shift participation.
- Ownership of or ability to obtain steel-toe or metatarsal safety boots.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating an overhead crane is highly preferred.
- in general labor, construction, roofing, landscaping, or concrete work is beneficial.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or production setting is an asset.
- Familiarity with concrete construction, concrete forms, and concrete finishing is helpful.
- Experience with concrete pours, precast concrete, or general production work is advantageous.
- Comfort working in an environment that resembles a construction site within a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to multitask and shift between different duties as production needs change.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a team that values camaraderie and hard work.
Why Work Here?
You will join a hardworking, tight-knit team that takes pride in producing high-quality precast concrete products while maintaining a supportive and energetic atmosphere. The crew works closely together, communicates openly, and enjoys a culture where people can joke and have fun while staying focused on safety and getting the job done. You will gain hands-on experience with concrete production, overhead cranes, and industrial tools, offering valuable skills for long-term growth in manufacturing and construction-related fields. The role provides steady, full-time hours with the potential for overtime, allowing you to build both your income and your skill set over time.
Work Environment
This position operates in a large, industrial manufacturing facility that functions much like a construction site. The standard shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of starting slightly earlier or working beyond the scheduled end time as production requires. While the current schedule is Monday through Thursday, mandatory overtime may include half or full days on Friday as needed. The site includes both a dry cast and a wet cast building, and you will move between these areas depending on production demands. The facility is not climate controlled, so it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, and the environment is dirty, dusty, and physically demanding. There is minimal machinery overall, but one very large machine in the dry cast area generates significant noise and vibration when operating. Each building houses an overhead crane used to lift and move large concrete boxes of various shapes and sizes, and safety is a top priority throughout the operation. You will be on your feet most of the day, performing heavy lifting and manual tasks in an indoor/outdoor setting. The team environment is close and collaborative, with coworkers working hard, supporting each other, and maintaining a sense of humor while staying focused on safe work practices. The dress code requires jeans and a t-shirt or long-sleeve shirt with no loose clothing, and personal protective equipment is provided, including metatarsal boots, hard hat, hearing protection, and eye protection.
