Job Title: Controls Engineer

We are expanding due to increased business for inverter modules within the xEV automotive space at our Greenfield facility. This is an exciting time for growth, and we are looking to add a key member to our team.
Responsibilities
- Support the safe launch of IPM products and processes (40%).
- Assist in the development of technology, resource, and production requirements (30%).
- Contribute to new IPM business opportunities (20%).
- Address production process or equipment problems and develop solutions (5%).
- Perform other duties as assigned to support corporate objectives (5%).
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and robot programming, including Keyence PLCs and Motoman, Fanuc robots.
- Willingness to travel to Japan for equipment qualifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience within automotive or related industry, with understanding of electrical and mechanical processes.
- Knowledge of EV components and processes, specifically inverters and power modules.
- Advanced engineering skills in conveyance equipment, product handling/motion, and related systems.
- Experience in designing, programming, and validating production traceability systems and control system validation.
- Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, and Control Plans.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing and IPC regulations principles.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting information to all levels of associates, management, and customers.
- Ability to lead and mentor other engineers or team members.
Work Environment
We are a Tier 1 Automotive supplier with a large facility in Greenfield, Indiana, experiencing significant growth and expansion due to new business. The role includes working on the manufacturing floor, in an office environment, and participating in meetings both in-person and virtual. Travel to Japan will be required four times during 2025-2026 for equipment installation and integration.
