Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pharmacist to lead operations in a small, clinic-based pharmacy. As the sole pharmacist, supported by two pharmacy technicians, you will be instrumental in delivering safe, accurate, and patient-centered care to a walk-in, self-pay population. This role is ideal for someone who values autonomy, collaborative healthcare, and meaningful patient interaction.

Responsibilities
- Dispense medications, counsel patients on medication usage, side effects ,and storage.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and check for drug interactions
- Ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
- Compounding medications and prepare specialized solutions as needed
- Counselnursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications, and advise physicians about medication therapy.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and guide pharmacy students
- Manage medication inventory, daily ordering, and automatic refills
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess patient therapy outcomes
- Maintain patient profiles ,medication records, and controlled substance registries
- Review over-the-counter and prescribed medications for patient suitability
- Accurately calculate, weigh, and mixing ingredients for compounded prescriptions
- Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
- Answer phone calls from nurses and provide necessary information.
- Direct other pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and changing prescription orders.
- Ensure the accuracy of prescription orders and the efficient fulfillment of these orders.
Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Required: Registered Pharmacist (RPh) - State Licensing Board in the state of Indiana
- Experience in outpatient, retail, or clinic-based pharmacy settings preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic workload
