The HSE Technician will be responsible for supporting all HSE compliance aspects at our new state-of-the-art Isotope Manufacturing site. You will help ensure Health, Safety and Environmental activities are managed according to applicable laws and Novartis HSE Management System requirements and assist in the continuous improvement of applicable HSE Management Systems while helping to spread our safety and environmental culture by proactively engaging associates and enhancing awareness.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and support for the HSE program at the facility by collaborating with the HSE Site Head to:
- Cascade HSE policy, procedures, and work instructions within the manufacturing site and monitor to ensure effective implementation. Promote HSE campaigns to enhance HSE culture and awareness.
- Perform periodic inspections and walkthroughs
- Identify HSE training needs and deliver HSE training. Prepare and deliver internal and/or external presentations on HSE topics
- Collect HSE KPIs and data, manage safety and environmental performance analysis, identify trends and suggest improvement plans
- Support in managing action plans for HSE using company software
- Assist with the management of the site waste management program and site contractor management.
- Assist the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) by performing radiation surveys, wipe tests and dosimetry management.
- Support the accident / incident investigation process
- Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, health and safety, engineering, or related field or a minimum of 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 0 - 2 years of HSE experience
- Ability to transmit knowledge via training.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize, respond to business needs, and manage stressful situations.
- Strong analysis and reporting skills
