Production Helper

Machine Operator – Shelbyville, KY & Jeffersonville, IN

Pay $21/hr

Job Description

TThis general labor role supports production by assisting roll‑forming machine operators and working with various types of industrial machinery. The position is essential to maintaining production flow, ensuring quality standards, and supporting overall efficiency at the company’s Shelbyville and Jeffersonville locations. Candidates must have prior experience operating or assisting with any machines such as slitter machines, press machines, injection molding equipment, and grinding tools.

Key Job Duties

• Assist machine and secondary operators with production tasks.
• Help with machine setup, including loading raw materials and unloading finished parts.
• Deburr formed parts to ensure clean edges and proper quality.
• Perform routine quality inspections on parts.
• Use hand tools for material handling during loading and unloading.
• Pack finished goods securely for shipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in fabrication or machine operation.
• Ability to handle general labor tasks efficiently.
• Skilled in loading/unloading parts.
• Deburring experience and attention to detail.

Additional Qualifications

• Previous industrial or manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Machine operation experience for 2+ years.

Work Environment

• Traditional industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Exposure to hot and cold environments.
• Not excessively dirty, but typical for production areas.
• Management maintains a laid‑back, results‑driven approach.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jeffersonville, IN.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
