Job Title: Scraper Operator (Travel)

Job Description

As a Scraper Operator, you will be responsible for cutting to grade by operating heavy equipment to scrape the earth and manage fill. Your primary goal is to level the terrain for the Finish Dozer hands to complete fine grading. This role involves operating MTS 3630 Wheeled or Track Scrapers and other equipment for rough grading work. This position is paying upwards of $32 an hour and $830 a week in per diem.

Responsibilities

• Operate scraper equipment to manage earthmoving tasks.
• Perform pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of machinery.
• Report any machine concerns to management.
• Work efficiently in the CUT, managing fill to even out terrain.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and site code of conduct.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience operating scrapers on a commercial job site involving mass grading.
• Expertise in handling MTS 3630 Wheeled or Track Scrapers, MTS 745 with pan CAT 627 or CAT 637.
• Ability to work with rough grading equipment, not finish.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass MVR check.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
• Experience operating Off Road Dump Trucks and Utility Tractors.

Work Environment

This role is set in a civil construction site on open farmland in Lebanon, IN, subject to diverse weather conditions ranging from hot, humid summers with thunderstorms to cold, snowy winters. A high degree of safety protocols must be followed as per OSHA standards. The environment is active, requiring excellent communication and awareness of surroundings. Professional appearance and behavior are expected in accordance with the site code of conduct.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lebanon,IN.
