Position: Telehandler
Shift: 1st shift Monday - Saturday
Pay: $25 - $27
Location: Lebanon, IN
The Telehandler Operator is responsible for safely operating a telescopic forklift (telehandler) to move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout an active commercial construction site. This role plays a key part in supporting multiple trades by ensuring materials are delivered to the correct locations efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project schedules and site safety requirements. The operator will work closely with site supervisors, logistics teams, and craft workers to maintain smooth site operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate a telehandler to load, unload, move, and place construction materials throughout the job site, including pallets, lumber, steel, pipe, and building materials
- Stage materials in designated laydown areas and deliver materials to crews as needed to support ongoing work
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance to ensure safe operating condition of the telehandler
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating a telehandler on commercial or industrial construction projects
- Valid telehandler (Lull) certification or ability to obtain certification prior to starting work
- Strong understanding of load capacities, boom extensions, and safe lifting practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain typical of construction sites
- Must be able to follow hand signals, two‑way radio communication, and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical demands commonly required on a construction site
Work Environment:
- Large civil construction site.
- It will be either dry or wet and hot in summer and cold and wet in the fall and winter.
- This is a dirty job and requires a good attitude and determination to complete the task despite the adverse conditions.
This is a Contract position based out of Lebanon, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $34.00/hr.
