Job Title: PLC Technician
Job Description
As a PLC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and processing equipment, including Spray Dryers and Extruders. You will perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, leading preventive and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime. Additionally, you will support the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and upgrades, while maintaining and updating electrical wiring schematics and relay logic diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, dismantle and replace defective components, and reassemble machinery for optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders.
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and upgrades.
- Maintain and update electrical wiring schematics and relay logic diagrams.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including working with components up to 460 volts.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, CMMS, motors, schematic interpretation, PLC programming, and automation.
- Knowledge of GMP standards and industrial maintenance techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Advanced expertise in mechanical and electrical systems to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize complex systems.
- Capability to lead by example, mentor junior technicians, and drive innovation in a fast-paced, mission-driven manufacturing environment.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mooresville, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
