Welder

We are seeking a skilled welder proficient in stick, flux core, and MIG welding to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to perform welding and fabricating on various types of steel, including aluminum, hot roll, and cold roll. Expertise in out-of-position welding such as overhead, vertical, and horizontal is required. The ability to read and work from blueprints is essential, as is the use of measuring tools like tape measures, gauges, and squares to ensure accuracy.

• Perform stick, flux core, and MIG welding.
• Weld and fabricate on various types of steel such as aluminum, hot roll, and cold roll.
• Execute out-of-position welding, including overhead, vertical, and horizontal.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, gauges, and squares to ensure accuracy in welding.

• Proficiency in welding, including MIG and flux core techniques.
• Experience with welding and fabrication in a custom weld shop.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform fitting.

• Previous experience in a custom weld shop.
• TIG welding experience is a major plus but not required.
• Must have own tools including a locking toolbox, cold chisel, scrapers, hammer, needle nose or TIG pliers, welding hood, file set, tape measure, and flashlight.

Enjoy a stable first-shift schedule from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with minimal overtime required. Experience the satisfaction of custom fabrication work in a dynamic environment.

The position is located in a custom fabrication and welding shop that is not climate-controlled and can be dusty and loud at times. The small shop environment requires adaptability and attention to detail.

This is a Contract position based out of New Albany, IN.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
