Job Purpose
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and functional support companywide and partners with the HR department. This role involves promoting safety, maintaining a welcoming reception area, and supporting HR functions such as recruiting, pre-hire administration, scheduling interviews, and answering employee inquiries. It includes tracking projects in Excel, organizing company events, and assisting with HR and office-related tasks to ensure smooth operation.

Job Description
- Personally exhibits, recruits, and coaches associates consistent with Core Behaviors.
- Responsible for promoting culture of safety.
- Serve as main contact for front desk which includes answering incoming calls, mail sorting, delivery acceptance, and greeting visitors.
- Maintains reception area, supply room, conference rooms, and other common areas in orderly condition.
- Reviews all job requisitions with the hiring manager for a clear understanding of hiring needs.
- Administration of pre-hire functions, including background checks, drug screens and offers of employment.
- Follows up in a timely manner to ensure the hiring manager and candidate experience is great and seamless.
- Tracking in Excel on various projects.
- Coordinates & assists with planning company lunches & meetings.
- Maintain safety shoe & glasses program.
- Answer employee questions about policy and procedures and refers to Generalist as needed.
- Schedules interviews via Teams, in person, and phone.
- Assist HR department with various projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- High School Diploma required.
- 2-3 experience preferred
- Experience with Excel & multi-line phone system preferred
- Strong customer service skills required
- Ability to take instruction & detail oriented
- Strong communicator
- Maintain confidentiality, open to ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
- Able to adapt to changes in the work environment
