Material Handler $2.70/hour START ASAP!
Job Description
The Material Handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks using equipment such as walkie riders and pallet jacks, as well as moving products throughout the facility. The role is essential in maintaining production efficiency, organizing workspace, and upholding quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Unload and load materials from delivery trucks.
- Deliver materials to the production floor.
- Analyze and estimate workload based upon order sheets.
- Perform daily operational checks on delivered raw materials.
- Inspect equipment and perform quality checks using various measuring devices.
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and walkies.
- Follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures, including safety compliance.
- Prepare necessary documentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area following the 6S standard.
- Understand department workflow and processes.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, both verbally and in written form.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Support the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment within the functional area.
- Train others at the same or lower level within the functional area.
Essential Skills
- Experience in material handling and inventory management.
- Proficient in packing, general labor, and production tasks.
- Skilled in using RF scanners, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
- Ability to perform order picking, loading, and shipping and receiving tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to adhere to company rules and policies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.70 - $20.70/hr.
