Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for producing the highest quality garage doors and components. This role involves overseeing the machinery and process of roll forming, ensuring adherence to safe work and quality assurance practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot roll forming equipment to produce high-quality, damage-free products.
- Perform all quality checks and complete necessary forms, including tags, quality, scrap, and rejections.
- Accurately utilize quality measurement tools such as gauges and tape measurements to ensure products meet specifications.
- Set up, operate, and adjust all equipment needed for manufacturing, including roll former and embosser.
- Generate, interpret, and execute all run sheets and reporting.
- Change widths, gauges, and cutoff dies as needed using run sheets and other reports.
- Maintain maximum efficiency of roll former and ensure the flow of material ahead of production lines.
- Quickly identify and articulate quality concerns or maintenance issues to stakeholders.
- Document observations and changes thoroughly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and general housekeeping.
- Assist in training related to roll forming.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Essential Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment, preferably in steel manufacturing.
- Ability to read blueprints and layouts to ensure proper production of materials.
- Proficient with various computer applications, scanners, and tablets.
- Highest level of safety in all activities.
- Ability to work in noisy, high-temperature environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with production, machine operation, blueprint reading, CNC, shear, general labor, and assembly.

Work Environment
The role is based on the production floor, which is not climate-controlled. It requires standing throughout the entire shift and handling physical tasks such as lifting and carrying door panels. Teamwork is essential for tasks exceeding 45 pounds, and manual dexterity is required for handling small objects and repetitive motions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Lawrence, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42120.00 - $45240.00/yr.
Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution after your first year of employment) among others.

This is a fully onsite position in Lawrence,KS.
