Job Title: Dispensing Tech

As a Dispensing Tech, you will play a crucial role in the pharmacy operations by handling the complete process of filling prescriptions. This includes working with cards, bulk items, and toting them as required. You will also rotate through the canister refill area, ensuring that the machines are properly stocked. The position does not involve intravenous (IV) work. You will be standing 100% of the time in a production-oriented environment, where precision and attention to detail are key. You will be responsible for pulling drugs, matching them to labels, accurately filling prescriptions, scanning labels and bottles, and packaging them accordingly. In the canister area, you will use a management program that requires basic computer skills.

• Perform 100% of the prescription filling process, including cards, bulk items, and toting.
• Rotate through the canister refill area to ensure machines are stocked.
• Pull drugs and match them to labels with precision.
• Accurately fill prescriptions and package them.
• Utilize a canister management program for refills.
• Maintain a standing position throughout the shift.

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician with the State of Kansas.
• At least 6 months of pharmacy experience.
• Basic computer skills for program usage.

• Experience in retail or long-term care filling for more than 6 months.

This position is in a long-term care, closed-door pharmacy that resembles a large pharmaceutical warehouse. The work is highly production-oriented. The shift is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

This is a Contract position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.
