Job Title: Cleanroom Technician

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Cleanroom Technicians to join our team in a dynamic and climate-controlled environment. This role involves working in either the Automatic Plates Room (APR) or Manual Plates Room (MPR), focusing on the production and packaging of media dispensed into petri dishes. Additionally, positions are available in the Tubes department, which involves sorting, packaging, labeling, and palletizing. This position may involve exposure to sheep's blood and the cleaning of petri dishes.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Automatic Plates Room (APR) or Manual Plates Room (MPR) to produce media for petri dishes.
  • Operate in the Tubes department to sort, package, label, and palletize products.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and document packaging procedures.
  • Lift, twist, and push up to 30 lbs repetitively during shifts.
  • Fill out paperwork and perform basic math using a calculator.
  • Work on your feet for the entire shift.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to stand for the full shift.
  • Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Comfort with working in a production manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in production, packaging, and quality assurance is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled and may have a yeast/vinegar smell in Building 1, with some areas being loud. Earplugs are provided for noise protection, especially in the test tube area where glass is handled. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans, t-shirts, and sweatshirts, with safety gear like hair nets, safety glasses, and surgical face masks provided and required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LENEXA, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.55/hr.
