Fleet Mechanic

Fleet Mechanics perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company fleet vehicles according to DOT and OSHA regulations, with a specific focus on medium and heavy-duty diesel tractor and trailer maintenance and repair.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance within the fleet department.
• Respond to service calls as required.
• Create work orders in SAP and ensure working times and tasks are logged into the computer, as well as stock parts pulled from inventory.
• Maintain tools and clean up the work area before the end of the shift.
• Participate in and adhere to the required safety training.
• Support departments by communicating out-of-service vehicles and downtimes.

• Expertise in diesel engine repair and fleet maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with airbrake systems and fleet vehicles.

• Knowledge of airbrake and electrical systems and components is preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Valid CDL Class A Driver's License is preferred.
• May be required to supply automotive hand tools.
• Prior experience using a pallet jack or forklift is preferred.
• Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification upon hire is required.

Work in a diesel truck shop environment attached to the warehouse, with two technicians on each shift. This opening is for the second shift, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lenexa, KS.

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $70720.00/yr.
