Job Title: NPI Program Manager


Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic NPI Program Manager to lead and manage new product introduction efforts, ensuring seamless transitions from design engineering to production. Join our fast-paced and growth-oriented team to make significant contributions to exciting projects.


Responsibilities

  • Define scope and schedule of projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead selected NPI efforts to ensure smooth transition from design engineering to production.
  • Maintain and report on NPI metrics aligned with goals and objectives.
  • Ensure lean, reliable, and cost-effective processes supportive of LEAN/CI principles.
  • Conduct timely reviews of new design requirements during development phases.
  • Provide feedback to design engineering and ensure manufacturability standards are met.
  • Deliver all phase milestones for NPI schedules, considering operational needs.
  • Offer input on best practices for assembly and testing to ensure scalability.
  • Collaborate on capacity and equipment planning based on forecasts and utilization.
  • Establish communication schedules and documentation protocols for project tracking.
  • Escalate issues and evaluate project outcomes for continuous improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business (BSEE or BSME preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in NPI within a manufacturing environment (preferably aerospace/defense).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communicator across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project or Smartsheet, and Epicor ERP.
  • Familiarity with Quality tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both office and manufacturing settings on site. Our culture is fast-paced and deadline-driven, which can be stressful at times. The engineering team consists of 32 individuals across various skillsets, with current openings due to growth from new contracts. The dress code is business casual, including polo or button-down shirts with jeans or slacks. The position operates Monday through Friday during normal day shift hours from 8 AM to 5 PM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Olathe, Kansas.
