Job Description

This role is centered on providing expert troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of products. The position involves maintaining accurate service records, offering technical support, participating in engineering evaluations and failure analysis, and developing test fixtures, procedures, work instructions, and service manuals. The role also focuses on generating reports, analyzing data for continuous improvement, and conducting repair training for the dealer network and junior technicians in both virtual and classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate all products, ensuring optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate service records and enter relevant information into the service database.
• Provide technical repair support via phone or email to assist the dealer network.
• Assist in engineering evaluations, failure analysis, and generate reports with recommendations for improvement.
• Develop test fixtures, troubleshooting stations, procedures, work instructions, and service manuals.
• Conduct repair training for the dealer network and junior technicians, both virtually and in classroom environments.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electronics, troubleshooting, electrical repair, and calibration.
• Experience with test equipment, including multi-meters and oscilloscopes, to diagnose and adjust optical, mechanical, and electronic instruments.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in electronics repair in a manufacturing/service role.
• Associate degree in electronics or related technology, or equivalent military training. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on/with multifunctional teams.
• Knowledge of electronic test equipment and Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with software/firmware loading with PCs, including installing and uninstalling drivers, loading operating systems and BIOS.
• Knowledge of Salesforce/Arena platforms is a plus.
• Physical ability to bend, carry, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance, and walk.

Work Environment

Work in a small team of 3-4 people, primarily independently, in an environmentally controlled area with occasional outdoor work. Dress code includes T-shirt, jeans, and closed-toed shoes. The shift is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some overtime. The position requires up to 20% travel.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, KS.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Olathe,KS.
