Job Title: Structural Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to contribute to and oversee the creation of contract documents and ensure their proper implementation in designs, drawings, and products. This role involves conducting and documenting engineering designs, including product design, connection designs, and lateral analysis. The Structural Engineer will play a key role in supporting various project phases and ensuring the accuracy and quality of drawings and production activities.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement contract documents in designs, drawings, and products.
  • Conduct and document engineering designs, including product design, connection designs, and lateral analysis.
  • Support Project Coordinators and Checkers in the development of erection drawings.
  • Assist Project Drafters and Checkers in the creation of production piece drawings.
  • Perform checking duties on erection drawings and piece drawings.
  • Support production, quality control, transportation, and field activities.
  • Assist engineers on various projects.
  • Communicate and manage project schedules effectively.
  • Visit jobsites and production facilities regularly to understand procedures.
  • Provide timely solutions to production facility and jobsite customers for deviations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external engineers, architects, and contractors.
  • Ensure the accuracy of drawings prepared by Project Drafters and Project Coordinators.
  • Review drawings and designs prepared by external consultants.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design.
  • Experience with precast concrete.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

Work Environment

This position involves regular visits to jobsites and production facilities to become familiar with production and erection procedures. The engineer will work closely with project teams and external consultants to ensure the successful implementation of designs and solutions. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain project schedules and quality standards.

Compensation:$48.07
